A misty autumn morning in a grand London park with golden falling leaves
Issue 10 · October 2026

The Turning Season

The month the light turns gold, the city lights itself from within, and a weekend in London is built in forty-eight hours — from the arrivals hall to the takeoff home.

A Note from Us

The Month Ahead

October is the month the light turns. The leaves go, the evenings close in, and London becomes the city it is best at being — inward, lit from within, and full of rooms that warm as the weather cools. This is the month of the international break, the NFL in our own stadium, and the tables that matter most when the players are in town.

This letter covers the month ahead: seven events worth knowing about, five London tables to hold, one escape worth the journey, and a single tip from the desk. Read it in five minutes. Then keep your evenings full.

The Endless Table

5 London restaurants to know
  • The Ledbury

    Modern European · Notting Hill

Reopened, and already impossible. The venison course is the reason to go in October.

  • Gymkhana

    Indian · Mayfair

The biryani is baked in a sealed pot. The game season has changed the menu. Book the private dining room.

  • Sketch (The Lecture Room)

    Modern European · Mayfair

The most beautiful room in London. The tasting menu has turned to autumn — the cep course is the one.

  • Hide

    Modern British · Piccadilly

The top floor, above the trees. The game tasting menu is the order. Ask for the wine flight.

  • Kol

    Mexican · Marylebone

The mezcal list is the deepest in London. The venison taco is the order for autumn.

The Escape

Destination of the month

Tuscany, in the olive harvest. By the third week of October the vines have turned, the white truffles are in season, and the villas that cost a fortune in July are half the price and twice as good. The light is the colour of the wine.

We hold a villa outside Pienza with a working olive grove, a cook who presses her own oil, and a path through the cypress trees to a restaurant that has no sign. The truffle hunter comes at dawn. The oil is pressed while you watch. You will leave with a bottle that was a tree a week ago.

The Experience

A recent client arrangement

An elite member flew in from Spain for the international break — him and his partner, for a long weekend in London. The Inquiry arrived on a Wednesday. By Friday afternoon, the car was at arrivals. Every hour from landing to takeoff was accounted for, and the whole itinerary was built in forty-eight hours.

Airport transfers in a chauffeured V Class. Dinner at three of the best tables in London across the weekend — one held at a restaurant that had stopped taking bookings in August. And a private personal shopping experience at Harrods, with a stylist, a closed suite, and the collections pulled before they reached the floor. The member never saw a schedule. He simply arrived, and the city was ready.

Concierge Tip

One insider recommendation

If you are coming to London for the international break, do not leave the restaurants to the last minute. The players are in town, the managers are in town, and the tables go early. Book the Friday and the Sunday — the Saturday is the fixture day, and the rooms are full of people who did not plan ahead. We can hold a table for the night you want, but only if we know by the Wednesday. The call is the service.

The Final Note

Until next month

October is a month for turning in — for fires, for tables, for the city at its best. We wish you a prosperous month ahead, with a full itinerary, a warm room, and a city that was ready before you arrived.

The next letter arrives at the turn of November. If there is anything you need — a villa, a table, a journey — One Call. Endless Possibilities.
